This is about construction and testing of road Vihicles which come under

the Road Traffic Act 1988.

Type approval requirements. Type approval certificates. Conditions of, and cancellation or suspension of, type approval certificates. Certificates of conformity. Minister’s approval certificates. Supplementary provisions as to certificates of conformity and Minister’s approval certificates. Appeals. Other supplementary provisions. Obligatory type approval certificates, certificates of conformity and Minister’s approval certificates. Using goods vehicle with unauthorized weights as well as authorized weights marked on it. Vehicles and parts not to be sold without required certificate of conformity or Minister’s approval certificate.

Higher authorities have Power to inspect goods vehicles to secure proper maintenance. Power to prohibit the driving of unfit goods vehicles. Power to prohibit driving of overloaded goods vehicles. Offences in connection with unfit or overloaded goods vehicles
