civil Aviation Authority

Objectives of the civil Aviation Authority are

(1)- Control and regulate civil aviation safty and security.
(2)- Oversee the implimentation and compliance with the national aviation security program.
(3)- Oversee the functioning and development of the civil aviation industry.
(4)- Promote civil aviation secrity and safty.
(5)- Develop any regulations that are required in terms of this act.
(6)- monitor and ensure the compilance with this act and the convection.
Functions of the Civil Aviation Authority.
This Authority has to perform the following functions.
(1)- The civil aviation authority has the function of conducting the safty and security oversight of the civil aviation in the country.
(2)- Developing and promoting appropriate ,clear and concise regulatory requirenments and technical aviation safty and security standards.
(3)- Developing effective enforcement strategies to ensure compilance with aviation safty and secrity standard.
(4)- issuing certificates , licenses, registrations and permits.
(5)- Conducting Comprehensive aviation industry surveillance , including assessment of security and safty related decisions taken by the industry management at all levels for thier impact on aviation safty and security.
(6)- overseeing and regulating the flight inspection of navigational aids to aviation.
(7)- conducting regular reviews of the system of civil avation safty and security in order to
(a)- to monitor the safty performance of the aviation industry.
(b)- Identiy safty and security related trends ans risk facters and
(c)- promote the development and improvement of the system.
(8)- Conducting regular and time ly assessment of the international safty and security developments.
Funding of the Civil Aviation Authority.
the civil aviation authority is funded from
(1)- The civil aviation regulatery charges and fees prescribed in an act of parliment and cast recovery.
(2)- Levies or charges on aircraft passangers and participants in civil aviation as prescribed by the national legislation.
(3)- interest on invested cash balance.
(4)- loans granted in terms of subsections.
(5)- money lawfully accruing from any other source.
(6)- Levies on the supply of aircraft fuels.
(7)- money appropriated by the parliment.
